His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, confirmed that work is ongoing on Dubai’s beach development plan. This is part of a program to make Dubai the best city to live in by 2040.

He explained in a post on the platform X that the plan includes investments worth 3 billion dirhams. The goal is to increase the capacity of Dubai’s beaches by up to 170%.

His statements came during his visit to the Al Mamzar Beach project, which is one of the main projects in the plan.

He said that work on these projects has already started without delay. The Al Mamzar Beach project is close to completion and is expected to become one of the top beach destinations in Dubai. It will be able to استقبال up to 7 million visitors per year and covers an area of 4 million square feet.

He confirmed that the projects will continue at a fast pace, saying:
“The projects are ongoing… work will not stop… the pace will be faster… we have a development plan, and we are committed to it.”

It is worth noting that Sheikh Mohammed approved the full beach development plan in May 2023, as part of Dubai Urban Plan 2040. The plan aims to increase beach length, improve infrastructure, and upgrade services to attract more visitors and make Dubai more appealing.
