In a new move to enhance the attractiveness of the real estate market, the Dubai Land Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Masdar City Services. The agreement allows companies operating within Masdar City’s free zones to own land and properties in Dubai under the freehold ownership system, all within a clear and integrated regulatory framework.

This initiative aims to broaden the investor base and support Dubai’s 2033 Real Estate Strategy by offering flexible investment opportunities that boost capital inflow and diversify ownership.

The agreement was signed in the presence of senior officials by Majid Al Marri, CEO of the Real Estate Registration Sector at Dubai Land Department, and Ahmed Baghoum, CEO of Masdar City. Al Marri emphasized that the agreement marks a significant step toward a more open investment environment, stimulating sustainable growth in the real estate sector.

Baghoum highlighted that the partnership reflects Masdar City’s commitment to offering innovative solutions that support business expansion and facilitate entry into Dubai’s thriving real estate market.

Under the agreement, a comprehensive ownership registration system will be developed, streamlining procedures through electronic integration and providing support and guidance to companies seeking to invest in Dubai’s real estate.
