Emirates Airlines has announced the resumption of its regular flights to the Syrian capital, Damascus, starting July 16, 2025, following a suspension that had been in place since 2012. The decision comes after a comprehensive review in coordination with the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority.
Initially, the airline will operate three weekly flights—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays—with plans to increase to four weekly flights starting August 2 by adding a Saturday service. The route is expected to become a daily service starting October 26.
The flights will be operated using a Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, which accommodates 302 passengers. Flight EK913 will depart from Dubai at 12:00 PM and arrive at Damascus International Airport at 2:10 PM local time. The return flight, EK914, will leave Damascus at 4:30 PM and arrive in Dubai at 8:30 PM local time.
Passengers traveling to and from Damascus will also benefit from a codeshare agreement between Emirates and flydubai, offering greater travel flexibility and expanded connectivity across their combined network.
