In light of ongoing regional tensions and resulting travel disruptions, the UAE has promptly activated its emergency business continuity plan to maintain seamless airport operations across the country.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) confirmed it had taken immediate action to safeguard uninterrupted airport functionality. This includes close coordination with all operational partners to mitigate the impact of airspace closures in neighboring countries.
The primary objective is to ensure the safe and efficient movement of passengers without compromising service quality. The ICP highlighted that its emergency plan includes detailed operational procedures executed in collaboration with strategic entities, ensuring flexibility and resilience during crises.
To enhance responsiveness, the Authority has deployed additional qualified personnel at airport field stations, operating around the clock. Special support has also been provided for stranded passengers, including temporary accommodations, logistical assistance, and real-time travel information.
A streamlined entry system has been introduced to match current needs, while support teams are guiding passengers directly and working with airlines to manage flight rescheduling efficiently.
The ICP praised the patience and cooperation of travelers, reaffirming its commitment to passenger safety and operational excellence. Rooted in Emirati values and proactive crisis management strategies, the UAE continues to uphold the highest international standards in ensuring a safe and smooth travel experience under all circumstances.
