UAE airports welcomed around 102.9 million passengers during the first eight months of 2025, marking a 5.3% increase compared to 97.9 million passengers during the same period in 2024.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, said as reported by WAM that the country’s airports continue to achieve exceptional accomplishments both locally and globally, stressing that Dubai represents a global model in managing air traffic and delivering advanced services thanks to continuous investment in infrastructure and smart technologies.
For his part, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, explained that the UAE’s re-election to the ICAO Council for the seventh consecutive time reflects international recognition of the nation’s leadership and its investments in national talent and infrastructure, highlighting the UAE’s commitment to enhancing safety and sustainability in the global aviation sector.
In the same context, Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport, pointed out that Zayed International Airport continues to deliver a world-class travel experience, supported by development projects that expand its operational capacity and strengthen the capital’s position as a regional aviation hub.
