Hut 8 Corp, a Bitcoin mining company linked to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s family, has announced plans to open a new office in Dubai, which has become a leading destination for crypto companies thanks to its attractive tax and regulatory environment.
The company, headquartered in Miami, has registered with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and is currently building a team focused on crypto trading and storage. According to CEO Asher Genoot, this expansion is part of the company’s broader strategy to enhance capital efficiency.
Hut 8 currently operates crypto mining facilities in Texas, New York, and Alberta, Canada, and is collaborating with American Bitcoin, a company partially owned by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump. American Bitcoin is preparing to go public through a merger with a listed firm. However, Hut 8 clarified that the Dubai office is not directly related to that partnership.
Dubai continues to solidify its position as a global crypto hub as part of its vision to diversify its economy and embrace a sustainable digital future.
